Emotional Intelligence and Its Relation With The Quality of Life of Mental Counselors in The District of Irbid

The study aims to detect the differences in the level of emotional intelligence of the mental counselors in the district of Irbid, according to the “sex of the guide”, Differences in Quality of Life among mental counselors in the district of Irbid According to the” sex of the guide”, and disclosure of correlation between the level of emotional intelligence and quality of life of mental health counselors in the province of Irbid. The researcher used the emotional intelligence scale prepared by Al-Astal (2010) and the quality of life standard prepared by Abdul Hafizi (2016), The results of the study indicated that there were statistically significant differences in emotional intelligence in general among the mental counselors in Irbid district due to the sex of the guide (females), and also the absence of statistically significant differences in the quality of life in general in the psychological counselors in the district of Irbid in the variable “sex”. And also a positive correlation and statistical function at the level of significance (0.05) between the arithmetic mean of emotional intelligence as a whole and the quality of life as a whole. Pearson correlation coefficient (0.48) also showed positive correlation and statistical function at 0.05 between the arithmetic averages of emotional intelligence as a whole, and each dimension on the quality of life scale. The correlation between emotion regulation and the quality of public health was the highest correlation coefficient. The lowest correlation between emotion regulation and the quality of time occupancy and management was the correlation coefficient (0.39). The study recommended training psychologists in coping skills and increasing the ability to Stress the psychological and social pressures both in the school environment and in the family environment.Downloads
