The study investigated the role of parenting training in enhancing parenting practices, family life quality, and children’s social development from the perspective of parents in Al Ahsa Governorate. Using a descriptive survey method, data were collected from 450 parents (198 fathers and 252 mothers) of students across primary, intermediate, and secondary schools, selected through stratified random sampling. An electronic questionnaire covering demographics, benefits, obstacles, parenting practices, family life, and children’s social development revealed that parents reported high benefits from training (mean 3.88/5), though hindered by time constraints, lack of specialized programs, transportation issues, and high costs. Results showed that training significantly improved parenting practices (mean 3.92), family life (mean 3.85), and children’s social development (mean 3.79), with strong positive correlations among all variables (r = 0.65–0.75). Recommendations included reducing costs, providing childcare, saving time, offering specialized and practical programs closer to home, and shifting societal perceptions of educational training.Downloads
