The role of Palestinian higher education institutions in enhancing some of the Social skills of their students and ways to activate this role

The aim of the study: The study aimed at identifying the role of higher education institutions in the Gaza governorates in enhancing some social skills in their students and presenting a number of proposals for developing this role.
Study Methodology: The researcher used the descriptive analytical method.
Study Tools: A questionnaire was designed to determine the role of higher education institutions in the Gaza governorates in enhancing some of the social skills of their students. It consists of (39) paragraphs divided into three fields, and an interview with some experts to make proposals for activating this role. The study population: The study population consists of all the teachers and teachers of the UNRWA preparatory schools in the governorates of Gaza, numbering (6400) male and female students, and the questionnaire was applied to the sample of (370) students. The most important results were:
- The role of the higher education institutions in the Gaza governorates in enhancing some of the social skills of their students came at a relative weight (77.80%) with a high degree of approval.
- There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of individuals in the study sample for the role of the higher education institutions in the Gaza governorates in enhancing some of the social skills in their students due to the gender variable except the field of the curriculum for students benefit. And there are no differences in the variable scientific college, while there are differences in the university variable in favor of the University of Palestine.
3- The need to involve students in the decision-making process through their scientific colleges, and the development of mechanisms for cooperation.
