Abstract

The research aims to build a tool to measure university students’ attitudes towards the culture of violence and dialogue, and to measure the prevailing trends among university students towards the cultures of violence and the culture of dialogue, and to know the prevailing trends among university students according to the variable of academic specialization. The research tends to build a tool for measuring university students' culture towards violence and dialogue, measuring the common trends within university students' culture towards violence and dialogue based on the variable of educational specialization.  The research has adopted the analytical-descriptive approach being followed in studying the social and psychological phenomenon. The application of this approach required a reference to previous studies related to the research problem, as well as building a tool to measure this phenomenon. The research has found that family upbringing, social realism, and the university curriculum played a crucial role in shaping students' culture towards positive values ​​that reinforce the rejection of violence and the use of force.
