Environmental Pollution from Quarries around the Capital

This research is concerned with studying the various environmental impacts resulting from quarries (crusher) around Sana'a and the escalation of dust that accompanies the extraction, grinding, loading and transport operations. The results of measuring fine pollutants, whose particles are less than 10 microns in diameter, by means of an air filter, show that the concentration of pollutants is still within the permissible limits to protect the population from suspended dust. However, the spread of these pollutants results in a number of respiratory diseases and other diseases. This was evident from the questionnaire with workers in the mentioned facilities and questionnaire samples that were taken from residential areas near the quarries.
