Abstract

The aim of this research is to formulate a proposed vision for crises management in the institutions of the Higher Education in the Republic of Yemen during the War. This is to be done through understanding the economic, social and educational crises that these institutions face, the most influential crises, to what extent solutions are available for these crises, and whether pre-war crises differ from crises during the war. The researcher has adopted the descriptive analytical method. The tool that was used to collect the data was an interview which had three open questions with thirteen sub-axes, and three closed questions. The tool was applied to a sample of thirty three academic experts from the Universities of Taiz, Aden, Sana'a, Ibb and Al-Hodeida. The results have shown there are economic, social, and educational crises in the institutions of higher education resulting from the current war. In addition, the results also have shown that the most influential are economic crises, followed by social crises, and finally by educational crises. The results have also revealed that there are no tangible solutions for these crises to be carried out by the institutions and the Ministry of Higher Education, and the crises which have emerged during the war differ from the pre-war crises.
