Manifestations of sexual harassment - its causes - methods of confronting it and its psychological effects from the viewpoint of the university student - students of the Faculty of Education, Taiz University, as a model

The research aims to identify the causes and manifestations of sexual harassment, its psychological effects and methods of confronting it from the viewpoint of the university students. The research has adopted the descriptive survey method. The research sample has consisted of (193) fourth-level students in all departments of the College of Education - Taiz University - during the first semester of the academic year 2015-2016. The researchers used the sexual harassment scale (prepared by the researchers). The research reached the following results: with regard to the sources that exposed the university girl to sexual harassment, the highest percentage was strangers in the street with a weight percentage (75%), followed by university professors with a percentage weight (72.22%), and with regard to the places where sexual harassment occurs. The highest percentage was while walking on a public street with a weight percentage of (63.8%), followed by presence in means of transportation with a weight of (61.1%), and followed by confrontations by phone calls with a weight of (50%).
