Abstract

This paper investigates the relationship between the patterns of brain dominance and personality traits of an effective mathematics teacher. The researcher has used the descriptive method through two scales, one of Herrmann's brain dominance scales and the other is the measure of personality traits of an effective mathematics teacherby the researcher. The personality traits scale was presented to a group of arbitrators specialized in this field to verify its validity, apply it to an exploratory sample to calculate the stability factor. Then choose the appropriate statistical methods to analyze the data according to the verification conditions, using the statistical package of the SPSS program. Random sample of (108) teachers, and the results showed: there was statistically significant difference in the personality traits of an effective mathematics teacher attributed to the gender in favor of females. There was not statistically significant difference in the personality traits of an effective mathematics teacher attributed to the years of experience. And all patterns of brain domination are related to the personality traits of the mathematics teacher and the strongest link was type A, and it’s dominant pattern of teacher mathematics teacher in Sharoura.
