Abstract

The research aims to evaluate the performance of psychological services, through identifying the reality of the application of the profession of mental health services in the medical field, as well as identifying the number of working cadres and their specializations in the field of mental health services, and the most important medical equipment in five public hospitals in the capital Sana'a. The current research sample is conducted in Five government hospitals as follows: ( (Al-Thawra General Hospital - Republican Hospital - Military Hospital – AL-Sabeen Hospital - Kuwait Hospital). It was chosen intentionally, and a set of tools was prepared: (Performance Form - Number and Type of Specialized Personnel Form - Medical Equipment Form) A set of statistical methods has been used that are appropriate to the objectives and questions of research, which are arithmetic averages, repetitions, and percentages.One of the most prominent results was that the level of performance of the staff working in the field of psychological services in public hospitals in the capital Sana’a was low, and the number of staff specializing in mental health services in public hospitals was very small, while for medical equipment it was generally low. In the light of the results reached and a review of theoretical frameworks, the researchers developed a number of recommendations and proposals for this research.
