Thamar University Journal of Natural & Applied Sciences (TUJNAS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Thamar University, Dhamar, Yemen.
TUJNAS publishes original, high-quality scholarly work in the fields of natural and applied sciences. Its subject coverage includes pure sciences, agriculture, engineering, computer science and information technology, medicine and health sciences, environmental science, pharmacology, veterinary medicine, and dentistry. The journal also welcomes interdisciplinary research that contributes to scientific knowledge, addresses regional and global challenges, and supports the exchange of ideas among researchers, practitioners, and academic institutions.
TUJNAS publishes the following types of contributions: original research articles, review articles, systematic reviews, short communications, case studies, editorials, perspectives, letters to the editor, commentaries, supplements, and conference proceedings.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess relevance to the journal’s aims and scope, completeness, ethical compliance, plagiarism status, and adherence to author guidelines. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process by at least two independent expert reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly quality, originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal’s subject areas.
TUJNAS is an open-access journal. All peer-reviewed scholarly articles are made freely available online immediately upon publication, without subscription, embargo, or reader registration. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full text, crawl the articles for indexing, and use the content for lawful purposes in accordance with the license displayed on the article page and in the article PDF.
Articles published from Volume 10, Issue 2 (2025) onward are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Articles published before this issue remain subject to the license displayed on the individual article page or in the article PDF, unless otherwise stated. TUJNAS publishes two issues per year. Accepted manuscripts are scheduled for publication after successful completion of peer review, revision, acceptance, copyediting, and production.
The journal follows recognized principles of publication ethics and editorial transparency, including policies on authorship, peer review, competing interests, plagiarism, research ethics, corrections, retractions, complaints and appeals, and digital preservation. Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to comply with the journal’s published editorial and ethical policies.
