Abstract

Twenty five samples were collected from the beach sand of Socotra Island. These samples are covered the northern shoreline of the island. They were treated for extracting the foraminiferal content. Eighty Six foraminiferal species have been identified from the collected samples. These species belonging to 52 genera, 22 subfamilies, 35 families, 16 superfamilies and 6 suborders. The systematic classification of the recorded species is mentioned and then they were compared with the type- species
